EGU support for Early Career Scientists

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) has given financial support to the conference, in order to facilitate the participation in the 15th EGU Plinius Conference on Mediterranean Storms of Early Career Scientists (ECS). An Early Career Scientist is an undergraduate or postgraduate (Masters/PhD) student or a scientist who has received his or her highest degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) within the past 7 years. Financial support for every selected candidate will consist of the payment of the conference fee, if the registration is done within the period of early registration and a partial payment of the stay, up to €250, if the accommodation is in the hotel that will be indicated by the organisation. Candidates to take advantage of this support can submit applications, by email, to Prof. Giuseppe Tito Aronica, University of Messina, Italy, 15th Plinius Conference Coordinator, before 7 April 2016, providing the following information:

  • Complete name, email address, and normal address;
  • A short CV (half a page) of the candidate;
  • Title and abstract of the contribution submitted to the conference.
